Rock the Block is a revitalization effort that takes an underserved neighborhood in the Wausau area, in partnership with residents and community members, making the neighborhood safer and improving living conditions.
By focusing on community-driven efforts, we intend to improve living conditions, enhance neighborhood aesthetics, and foster a sense of unity and pride among residents. This project will empower community members, instill hope, and positively impact the overall well-being of the community.
Who will Rock the Block Help?
Families in a geographic area within the Wausau area who have a willingness to partner on improving their living conditions and neighborhood aesthetics.
What types of projects will be completed?
Projects include exterior painting, siding and window washing, yard decluttering and cleaning, yard maintenance and landscaping, improving exterior lighting, screen replacement, and small exterior home repairs. Project materials will average about $2,500 per home.

Sign up individually for any available shift during our Rock the Block week or gather your group and volunteer together. Team volunteer opportunities are available to youth groups, corporate partners, families, faith communities and social groups.
